1. ENG-W vs AUS-W – Women’s T20 World Cup 2009
ENG-W vs AUS-W, the 2nd semi-final match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, batting first, AUS-W posted 163/5 for ENG-W to chase in the 2nd innings, and the target was pretty difficult to chase as per the conditions and the pressure of the semi-final match at The Oval. Shelley Nitschke scored a valuable 37(25), Leah Poulton with her contribution of 39(31), Lisa Sthalekar 28(21), and Karen Rolton’s 38(32), and the team managed to get to a great total.
The chase wasn’t going to be that easy as the ball was turning a lot, and the uneven bounce in the second innings would be troubling the batters, and this was evident as Sarah Taylor got out scoring 6 runs in 7 balls. Charlotte struggled to score runs and got out making 25 runs, but Claire Taylor and Beth Morgan’s great partnership took the match to a possibility where nobody thought it would go, and Claire scored a valuable 76 not out innings in just 53 balls, and Beth Morgan scored 46 runs in 34 balls, and their efforts and hard work made ENG-W win by 8 wickets.
2. AUS-W vs WI-W – Women’s T20 World Cup 2016

The hopes were high from AUS-W to score more runs in the match, but Alyssa Healy scored only 4(5), and later Elyse Villani and Meg Lanning’s contributions helped the team, as Villani scored 52(37) and Meg Lanning contributed 52 runs in 49 balls, and later Ellyse Perry, with her 28(23), finished the innings at 148 runs.
Due to the slow scoring rate, the match stood at a fighting total only, but the pressure of the final match put some pressure on WI-W for the first few overs. But Hayley Matthews and Stafanie Taylor, who were ruthless throughout the tournament, stood at the crease, and Matthews scored 66(45) and Stafanie Taylor scored 59(57), and took the West Indies Women’s Cricket Team to their first-ever title. This match is considered one of the Greatest Run Chases in Women’s T20 World Cup History due to the complete dominance of WI-W.
