Asian Winter Games 2025: Sports Events, Schedule, Venues, Featuring Nations

The Asian Winter Games returns to the hill resort of Harbin in China after almost three decades. The excitement, therefore, is mountain-high. 

A record 1,275 athletes (755 men and 520 women) are scheduled to compete in the ninth edition of the winter games.

The Asian Games 2025 will be declared open on Friday (7 February) at the Harbin International Convention Exhibition and Sports Centre. The Closing ceremony will be held on 14 February in the same venue. 

Harbin hosted the third Games in 1996.

Harbin 2025 will officially open on Friday (7 February) at the Harbin International Convention Exhibition and Sports Centre, where the Closing Ceremony will also be held on 14 February.

The ice hockey will open the Games on Monday ahead of the Opening Ceremony, followed by curling on Tuesday.

The Games will host 64 events across 11 disciplines which will be staged across seven venues.
