2026 Australian Grand Prix: Official F1 Teams and Chassis Line-up

Australian Grand Prix 2026 will happen at Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne from March 5 to March 8, 2026, as the first race of the Formula 1 season. This race starts the big F1 year, and many fans love it because it is exciting and fast. 

Some top drivers to watch are Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris, Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Charles Leclerc. These drivers are very skilled, fast, and often finish at the front in races. Many fans around the world follow this race each year because it is one of the most famous F1 events.

Australian Grand Prix Formula 1 2026 Season Big Changes

The 2026 Formula 1 season is very different because many new rules have been introduced. 11 teams are racing in the Australian Grand Prix. Audi has joined as a new factory team, and Cadillac is also entering Formula 1. 

The cars now use new power units and active aerodynamics, which means parts of the car can move to improve speed. There are also big driver changes. Lewis Hamilton is now racing for Ferrari, and young rookie Arvid Lindblad is driving for Racing Bulls this season.

The 2026 Formula 1 season has 11 teams with new cars and drivers. Red Bull Racing uses the RB22 with Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar. Ferrari’s SF-26 is driven by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. Mercedes runs the F1 W17 with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. McLaren’s MCL38 has Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. Aston Martin uses the AMR26 with Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. 

Audi joins with the R26 driven by Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto. Williams fields the FW48 with Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon. Alpine’s A526 has Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto. Haas VF-26 features Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman. Racing Bulls VCARB 03 includes Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad. Cadillac is confirmed as the 11th team for 2026.
