Pakistan skipper Babar Azam talked about the hopes and possibilities of bringing back Mohammad Amir out of his retirement.
The left-arm fast bowler retired in the year 2020 in December. This is also the first time the Pakistan captain has publicly addressed Amir’s departure from international cricket last year citing “mental torture he could not bear”. He also targeted the coaching staff not coordinating or listening to him and he was also not able to bear this load.
“When we talk, we’ll discuss what his issues [with the national side] are,” Azam said. “He’s one of the best left-arm bowlers and I admire him. The way he’s performed in the PSL so far, I just hope he performs the same way again, and that’s what we are focused on so far.”
Amir however also mentioned that he would only return once the management leaves as held them responsible for whatever he has faced during the years.
The lethal fast bowler from Pakistan can go up to 150 KMPH when it comes to fast bowling and also terrifies the batsmen with his deadly in-swingers which angle back and yorkers.
