The Badminton Asia Team Championships 2026 is scheduled to take place from February 3 to 8, 2026. This is the sixth edition of the tournament.
The tournament is organised by Badminton Asia and will take place at the Qingdao Conson Gymnasium in Qingdao, China.
China and India are the defending champions of the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.
China will be hosting the Badminton Asia Team Championships for the first time. They previously hosted the 2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championships at the same venue.
The Badminton Asia Team Championships is a biennial tournament organized by Badminton Asia to crown the best men’s and women’s national badminton teams in Asia.
It started as a standalone event for both men’s and women’s teams since 2016 and both the team events are conducted simultaneously by Badminton Asia Confederation.

There is typically no official prize money awarded to the teams or players in this tournament. the Team Championships primarily serve as the continental qualifying event for the BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals.
While the tournament organizers do not provide a cash purse, many national sports federations (such as China, India, or Malaysia) provide their own internal bonuses or incentives to players for winning medals.
