The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has now confirmed that the Pakistan tour of Bangladesh 2025 is official, which promises to be another exciting bilateral series between 2 enemies in South Asia, with both sides playing in a short series, which includes a 3-match T20I series at the iconic Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.

This tour, though not within the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP), was agreed upon after bilateral talks between the PCB and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) at the recently held ICC Champions Trophy 2025, co-hosted by the UAE and Pakistan.

The three matches will be day-night fixtures at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium:

1st T20I – 20 July 2025, Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Dhaka

Pakistan Team to Land in Dhaka on July 16

The Men in Green will land in Dhaka on 16th July, giving them a couple of days of training and acclimatization before the T20I opener. For Pakistan, this series marks the return to international cricket after a brief absence, and it gives both teams a good opportunity to sharpen their planning ahead of the Asia Cup 2025.

Recent Context: Bangladesh Whitewashed in Pakistan

Only a few weeks ago, Bangladesh visited Pakistan for a corresponding three-match T20I series in which they were whitewashed 3-0. That series was important as it marked the first official outing for Pakistan’s new white-ball head coach, Mike Hesson.

Now, with the tables turned, the Bangladesh team, captained by Litton Das, will be hoping to come back fighting in home conditions.

After the T20I series in Bangladesh, Pakistan will head to the USA to play the West Indies in a white-ball series. The Pakistan vs West Indies T20Is will take place on the following dates:

31 July 2025 – 1st T20I, USA

2 August 2025 – 2nd T20I, USA

3 August 2025 – 3rd T20I, USA

Initially scheduled ODIs between West Indies and Pakistan in Trinidad (August 8, 10, and 12) could now be switched to T20Is, with both cricket boards in active talks. This move would provide Pakistan with over six T20Is in July and August, important for team building before the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

Bangladesh’s Ongoing Tour of Sri Lanka

The Bangladesh cricket team is currently touring Sri Lanka. The first Test was a draw, and the second Test is ongoing in Galle, where Bangladesh stands at 200/7 after deciding to bat first. The red-ball leg will be followed by a three-match ODI series from July 2.
