The Cricket West Indies (CWI) has announced that the team will head to Bangladesh in mid-October for an exciting white-ball series. The two sides will play three ODIs and three T20Is, giving both squads a chance to fine-tune their line-ups ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.
According to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), the ODIs will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, while the T20Is will take place at the Bir Shrestho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chattogram.
Full Schedule of Bangladesh vs West Indies Series 2025
The action begins with the ODI series in Dhaka:
- October 18: First ODI
- October 20: Second ODI
- October 23: Third ODI
Then the teams will move to Chattogram for the T20I leg:
- October 27: First T20I
- October 30: Second T20I
- November 1: Third T20I
This series is being seen as a valuable opportunity for both Bangladesh and the West Indies to experiment with strategies before the big ICC event, which will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka in February next year.
Busy Road Ahead for West Indies
For the West Indies, this Bangladesh tour is just one part of a hectic end to 2025. Their international calendar is packed, with CWI confirming 22 matches across formats after already hosting Australia and Pakistan at home.
The overseas run will begin with a historic three-match T20I series against Nepal in Sharjah on September 27, 29, and 30. This will be the very first bilateral T20 series between the two nations. From there, they move to Bangladesh for the six white-ball matches.
The tour continues in November and December with a full-format series in New Zealand that stretches from November 5 to December 22. It includes five T20Is, three ODIs, and three Tests, which will also count as their third Test series in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle.
Historic Test Tour of India
Before their New Zealand campaign, the West Indies will also stop in India for two Tests as part of the WTC cycle. The first Test will be played in Ahmedabad from October 2 to 6, followed by the second in Delhi from October 10 to 14. This will be the West Indies’ first Test series in India since 2018.
Bangladesh in the Asia Cup 2025
Meanwhile, Bangladesh is currently competing in the Asia Cup 2025 in the UAE. The Tigers have played two games so far and are sitting on just two points in Group B. Their hopes of reaching the Super Four stage rest on their final group match against Afghanistan on Tuesday, September 16.
If Bangladesh wins, they move forward. But if Afghanistan takes the game, the Tigers will be knocked out of the competition. Over in Group A, India has already booked their place in the Super Four round.
