Bangladesh has been attempting to play Test cricket on the international level since 2000, and the team consistently shows incredible potential and competency at the maximum standards. They have defeated some of the world’s best teams and are competent at doing so on a regular basis. Bowling figures are the total number of wickets a bowler has picked as well as the total runs conceded.
In this article, we will take a look at the five Bangladeshi cricketers with the best figures in an innings.

- Taijul Islam
Taijul was carefully chosen for Bangladesh A after a huge domestic season in 2013-14, and he ultimately made his Test debut for Bangladesh on its 2014 tour of the West Indies. On debut, he took five wickets, and when Zimbabwe toured Bangladesh later that year, he took 8/39, the best performances by any Bangladeshi at Test threshold. Later in the series, he made his ODI debut and ended up taking a hat-trick, becoming the very first player to do so on a breakout performance.
- Shakib Al Hasan
Shakib Al Hasan crafted his test debut against India in 2007. His turning point came in the 2008 Chittagong Test against New Zealand. He took 7/36, the best figure by a Bangladeshi bowler to date. Shakib managed to score 237 runs, which include three fifties, and ended up taking six wickets in the 2012 Asia Cup. Bangladesh reached the tournament final for the very first time, but were defeated by Pakistan by two runs. Shakib Al Hasan received several awards for his playing ability in the match.
- Mehidy Hasan Miraz
Bangladesh took a 2-0 lead after defeating the Windies by an innings and 184 runs. Mehidy Hasan was named Man of the Match, while Shakib was named Man of the Series. After an outstanding morning exhibit in Dhaka on 30th November 2018, Bangladesh spinners left the West Indies stumbling towards a humiliating loss in the second Test. Bangladesh brushed aside the visitors for 111, establishing an enormous 397-run lead in the first innings, kudos to Mehidy Hasan’s career-best 7-58.
- Enamul Haque Jr
Bangladesh’s slow left-arm spinner appeared in 15 test matches, taking 44 wickets at an average of 40.61. Enamul Haque Junior actually started his test career in 2003 and finished it in 2013. In his test match career, he had three five-wicket hauls one and a ten-wicket haul, with the best stats of 7/95.
