Copa del Rey Barcelona Defeat Atletico Madrid

Barcelona have knocked out rivals Atletico Madrid out of the Copa Del Rey and have advanced onto the Finals to play Real Madrid in an El Clasico.

The match was a shadow of itself after the breath-taking 1st leg. The 2nd leg was more composed by the Atletico players who were more like themselves as they sat down and were always present whenever Barcelona were trying to break in.

His trickery was too much for the Atletico defense who were just bamboozled by the 17 year old. He turned the defenders and caught them wrong footed, making them work for every single interception. The lone goal scored by Ferran Torres was also assisted by Yamal. He should have had 2-3 assists if his team had been clinical upfront.

The game was dominated by Barcelona in the 1st half

The game was dominated by Barcelona in the 1st half as they kept on creating chances and it was clear that Atletico Madrid were happy in sitting back and working on counters but Barcelona were so fast onto the second balls that Atletico could not find any break and it looked like Barcelona were ready to score some more goals.

But Atleti’s resolute defence did not let them bypass it so easily. Ferran Torres scored in the 27th minute to break the deadlock. Barcelona could have scored 2-3 goals easily but were complacent in the final 3rd of the field.
