Ronald Koeman spoke about Super League as supporting his central defender Gerard Pique in his tweet and declined his inclination towards such events that are coming up in the football world.

The Spanish top-flight La Liga title race is still quite open and the upcoming Barcelona vs Getafe engagement could have a big impact on it.

Koeman never wants to go against fans and he believes football is for fans and it can not be for the elite. Breakaway Super League controversy is impacting world football fans and it must not be ignored the protest that are taking place.

Koeman- “I spoke with the president yesterday and he explained the club’s position to me. There has been so much discussion that it is best not to give an opinion,” he stated. “Nobody knows what can happen and we have to wait. I want the best for the club. I am not going to answer more. I am not the spokesperson, it is always the president. “My job is to prepare the team, but it is normal for you to ask. There is so much happening due to people’s reactions and we have to wait and see how it turns out in the end. “We want the best for this club, but the president must speak.” Koeman believes that UEFA is guilty of pushing the players to the limit. “There are players who have played an incredible number of games,” he said. “There is talk of the Super League, the Champions League… but UEFA ignores the players who play many games. Only money matters. “Look at the fixture list, tomorrow we will play at 10.00 pm.”.

“I don’t want to talk about this topic but I agree with Pique’s tweet,” he said.

“It is normal that Gerard Pique was quite tired, after being out for a long time you need to regain your rhythm to be as before,” he said.

“We will see tomorrow, but I don’t think he will play the whole game.”
