Barcelona stays alive in the race for the La Liga title because of an exciting 3-2 triumph away to Valencia at the Mestalla, with support from Lionel Messi demonstrating the distinction in what was a splendid round of football.

Every one of the goals came in the subsequent half, and Barça expected to dig out from a deficit and clutch the lead to get three critical points against an intense Valencia side.

At halftime, a very much played, the exceptional game was goalless yet the inclination was that Barcelona was drawing nearer and nearer to score, and the subsequent half vowed to be intriguing.

The subsequent half began gravely for Barça, who yielded only five minutes into the period on account of a free header by Gabriel Paulista from a corner-kick.
Barça grumbled about a foul on Ter Stegen, yet VAR affirmed the objective.
