Bayern Munich are back to their winning ways, 34th Champions title for the Bavarians. Bayern Munich were confirmed as German champions for the 34th time on Sunday, giving striker Harry Kane his first major trophy, after second-placed Bayer Leverkusen were held to a 2-2 draw at Freiburg.
34th Champions title for the Bavarians
Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen may have given a run for their money this season as well but Bayern Munich proves who is the real emperor of the Bundesliga.

With 2 matches still to go, Bayern have lifted the title and this season it looked like Kompany’s men were not happy last season Leverkusen’s underdog story.
Leverkusen are currently second with 68 points and are behind by 8 points
Bayern Munich’s attacking unit has been on fire this season as they have scored 93 goals in 32 games in the Bundesliga alone and have obliterated oppositions who have tried to challenge Bayern’s football.
The aggressive approach from Vincent Kompany has helped his team to play their natural game and control games by attacking continuously.

They have also only conceded 32 goals in the Bundesliga
They have also only conceded 32 goals in the Bundesliga, the lowest among all the teams, thanks to defenders like Eric Dier, Upamecano and Kim Min Jae.
Bayern Munich would have won the title in the last matchday but a late goal by Yussuf Poulsen meant that Bayern had to wait another week. The biggest week for Harry Kane who has won his competitive trophy will be the happiest.

As Bayern neared the title, Kompany downplayed his role, saying, “It’s about the players. Talent determines a lot. I want them to get the chance to show their best.”
While Bayern’s board has praised Kompany’s leadership, the club’s track record suggests caution is warranted.
Since Pep Guardiola’s departure in 2016
Since Pep Guardiola’s departure in 2016, no manager has lasted two full seasons. Even Hansi Flick, who led Bayern to a historic sextuple, left after internal disagreements.
Bayern Munich will now be facing Borussia Monchengladbach next in the Bundesliga and will look to win the remaining of the two matches in their campaign.
