The full-back is returning to his home nation after spending ten years in England.  Bellerin has never played professionally in his home nation.

The full-back was struggling for form last season. Bellerin was linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium since last summer. He has finally found his ticket, out of London.

Real Betis was looking to sign a right-back to replace Emerson Royal. Bellerin was a target for Real Betis throughout the summer. Real Betis did not make a move earlier, because of the high wages of the player.

Earlier, Barcelona passed up the chance of signing the Spaniard, citing enough personnel to fill the position.

Real Betis has signed the Spain international on a season-long loan. The club and the player have resolved the personal terms. The club is expecting him to be a starter.

The loan deal has no buy option. Arsenal is expecting the full-back to return next summer. His contract with Arsenal expires in June 2023.

Bellerin’s career at Arsenal

Bellerin was a starter at the club. He played a crucial role under all three of his managers at Arsenal. He is widely regarded as one of the fastest footballers in the world.

Bellerin has won three FA Cups with Arsenal. He started all three of their FA Cup Final triumphs in 2015, 2017, and 2020. He missed their 2019 Europa League Final defeat to Chelsea, because of a long-term injury.
