Afghanistan joined the ICC in 2001 as an affiliate member, in 2013 as an associate member, and in 2017 they were granted test status. They have experienced some fantastic experiences on the world stage over this period, including defeating the eventual world champions, West Indies, at the 2016 World T20. Rashid Khan

Mujeeb-ur-Rahman
Mujeeb Ur Rahman is an all-rounder for the Afghanistan cricket team, a right-handed hitter, and an off-break bowler. On February 5, 2018, Mujeeb made his Afghanistan T20 debut against Zimbabwe in Sharjah. Later, Mujeeb participated in 23 games and claimed 32 wickets. With a bowling average of 16.62, he ranks third among Afghanistan’s bowlers. His strike rate is 16.3, and his bowling economy is 6.1.
