The Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2026 (BGIS 2026) officially started its In-Game Qualifiers today, January 8. This stage is the first major step for thousands of BGMI teams dreaming of reaching the main event. The qualifiers will run till January 14, and only the most consistent teams will move forward.
This phase is fully open and tests both skill and discipline, as only the top 1,016 teams will qualify for Round 1.
BGIS 2026 In-Game Qualifiers Dates and Match Format
The In-Game Qualifiers will take place from January 8 to January 14, 2026. During this period, teams must play 15 Ranked Classic matches.
Only matches played on Erangel and Miramar maps are counted. From the 15 matches played, only the best 10 matches will be considered for final rankings. The lowest five scores are ignored, which means steady performance matters more than one lucky game.
Teams that finish in the top 1,016 positions will receive official confirmation from Krafton and advance to Round 1.
Important Gameplay Rules Teams Must Follow
BGIS 2026 has very strict match rules. Every game must be played with the same four registered main players. Using a substitute will make that match invalid.
Only TPP Ranked Classic mode is allowed. Playing FPP, unranked matches, or themed modes will not be counted. Players must use mobile phones only. Emulators, controllers, or any external devices are strictly banned.
In-game names must follow the format TEAMNAMEPLAYERNAME and should not include offensive words.
Points System and Tie-Break Rules Explained
Teams earn points based on both placement and kills.
- First place gives 10 points
- Second place gives 6 points
- Third place gives 5 points
- Fourth place gives 4 points
- Fifth place gives 3 points
- Sixth place gives 2 points
- Seventh and eighth give 1 point
- Each kill adds 1 extra point
If teams are tied on points, rankings are decided by better finishes, total survival time, accuracy, and recent performance.
All teams must record in-game POV and handcam using the built-in recorder. These videos must be uploaded as unlisted YouTube links or open Drive links within 8 hours of daily matches. Late uploads result in a 2-point deduction per match.
BGIS 2026 In-Game Qualifiers Eligibility Rules
To take part, players must be Indian citizens with valid government ID. The minimum age is 16 years, and players under 18 need parental consent.
Each account must be Level 30 or above with at least Platinum I rank. Teams can register up to five players, including one optional substitute. Rosters were locked after registrations closed on January 4.
Teams cannot be linked to banned sponsors like gambling platforms, cheat providers, or Krafton competitors.
