KRAFTON India has officially introduced the BGMI Player Transfer Window, a structured and transparent system designed to manage how professional players move between esports clubs. This marks a major step toward professionalizing the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) competitive scene, giving it a system similar to traditional sports leagues.

The new model ensures that all player movements happen in a fair and regulated manner, bringing stability and discipline to the fast-growing Indian esports ecosystem.

A New Chapter for BGMI Esports

The Player Transfer Window is inspired by transfer systems seen in global football and cricket leagues. It defines specific timeframes when esports clubs can change their player rosters. These periods allow teams to rebuild, trade players, or make strategic signings without affecting ongoing tournaments.

This move not only protects players’ rights but also helps organizations manage their line-ups more professionally. It promotes trust and long-term planning in the BGMI competitive scene.

How the BGMI Transfer Window Works

The first official transfer window is open from October 1 to November 15, 2025, and the next one will begin on April 1, 2026. During these windows, registered clubs can officially trade, release, or sign players following KRAFTON’s rules and regulations.

Here’s how it functions:

  • Only verified esports clubs can make transfers during the active window.
  • Free agents (players not signed to any club) can join teams anytime.
  • All movements are monitored and approved by KRAFTON India to ensure fairness.
  • Every transaction is recorded and verified for transparency and authenticity.

How Clubs Can Register

Teams can easily manage their player rosters through the KRAFTON India Esports (KIE) Dashboard. Here’s the process:

  1. Log in using your registered team credentials.
  2. Go to the “My Teams” section.
  3. Add or remove players, or accept new join requests.
  4. Submit your final team list for KRAFTON’s approval.

Once verified, clubs are eligible to participate in upcoming official BGMI tournaments as well as approved third-party events. Each club can register only one active lineup of 4-5 players, ensuring balanced and competitive gameplay across all events.

Bringing Structure and Stability to Indian Esports

According to Karan Pathak, Associate Director of Esports at KRAFTON India, the new transfer system is a big leap forward. He said, “With the Player Transfer Window, we’re taking a significant step toward professionalizing esports operations in India. It gives players and clubs a clear, transparent framework to manage rosters efficiently and responsibly.”

This initiative aligns Indian esports with international standards, setting the stage for a more sustainable and globally recognized ecosystem. It also opens doors for better player contracts, organized team management, and a more competitive environment overall.
