A Promising Beginning in Age-Group Cricket

At the tender age of 17, in the 2011-12 season, she paved the way for herself with her debut in senior women’s T20 matches, which was the defining moment in her life. Her development has been consistent, and in the 2015-16 season, she was handed the responsibility of leading the Vidarbha U-23 team.
Rising Through the Domestic Ranks
During all these years, Bharti Fulmali has played at several levels such as Under-19, Under-23, domestic, as well as zonal cricket for India. The biggest turning point for her came within the matches of the 2018-19 Senior Women’s Challenger Trophy, representing India Blue.
Shutdown by 114 runs in only three matches, she remained the second highest scorer of the tournament, although she received appreciation for a 69-run crucial knock within the finals as well as for an unbeaten 45 for India Green.
Brief Stint with the Indian Women’s Team
Bharti Fulmali’s continued performances at the domestic level earned her a call-up to the India Women’s team in March 2019. She made her T20 International debut against England Women. However, limited opportunities at the international level restricted her progress. In two T20Is, she managed scores of 18 and 5, after which she was dropped from the national setup.
Resilience and Return to Domestic Dominance
After her departure from the international side, Bharti decided to make a comeback to Vidarbha’s domestic leagues. Her determination to make it to the top is visible by her consistent performance, even though she could not receive immediate success.
Revival through the Women’s Premier League
The introduction of Women’s Premier League (WPL) marked the turning point in the career of Bharti Fulmali. In 2024, she was chosen by Gujarat Giants as a replacement for Harleen Deol, who was injured. Although she played only three matches, she impressed everyone by performing well with her unbeaten score of 21 and 42 runs.
Breakout Season in WPL 2025
Gujarat Giants have retained Bharti Fulmali for WPL 2025, which is completely justified. Bharti Fulmali has been impressive right from the beginning of the tournament. She scored an unbeaten 40 against the Delhi Capitals. However, she has been outstanding in the final match of the league stages against Mumbai Indians Women, hitting 61 runs in mere 25 balls. Then she scored 30 in 20 balls in the Eliminator.
Momentum Builder for WPL 2026
Bharti Fulmali is still an essential element in the Gujarat Giants middle-order lineup in the WPL 2025–26 season. Playing four matches so far, the player has scored a total of 53 runs with an impressive strike rate of 189.29. Her innings are as follows: 14 off 7 balls*, 3 off 6 balls, and 36 off 15 balls.
Batting Style and On-Field Impact
Bharti Fulmali is known for being a fearless player. She is a middle-order batter who comes hard at the opposition from the very start. She is effective against the fast bowlers as well as the spin bowlers. This makes her a very potent player during the death overs as well. Although she is a medium-pace bowler too, she is mostly famous for being a hard-hitting batter.
