Leeds United vs Liverpool at Ellen Road was a very entertaining and high-intensity match. Sadio Mane in the first half put a tap in, as provided by Alexander Arnold who made an excellent run behind Harrison for Jota’s ball. Later in the game, Leeds attacked and created many opportunities. Bamford almost found the net in the 60th minute but was denied the goal by the crossbar. Diego Llorente though finally scored from the corner in the 87th min, taking the final score to 1-1.
Why Bielsa is such a feared man in the Premier League? How is a newly promoted team so confident on the pitch? The answer is Bielsa’s unique tactics. Marcelo Bielsa goes for a very different way of playing the game. He plays a high-tempo game and does man-to-man marking with all 10 players. It makes it extremely difficult for other teams to break the system and start an attacking transition. The only way to create and score goals against Leeds is to look out for their mistakes.
Man City and Pep Guardiola have lost in a total of 4 matches till now in the League and 2 of them have come against Leeds. Bielsa won the English second division last year with the team and was promoted to Premier League this season. If Leeds acquires some good attacking players next season it will be a team we might see in the top 4.
