The cricket world has registered a huge number of fans following throughout the years. However, the introduction of the T20 format has certainly provided a new life to the game of cricket. Among the T20 leagues, the Big Bash League has proved to be one of the most celebrated tournaments. In this tournament, the cricket world has witnessed excellent partnerships.   • Marcus Stoinis and Hilton Cartwright (207 runs) in 2020 

The top pair of Big Bash League has been Marcus Stoinis and Hilton Cartwright. Both of them belong to the Melbourne Stars, and this excellent performance was witnessed in a match between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Sixers during the 2020 season. The duo successfully scored 207 runs for the first wicket and played 19.1 overs. Cartwright was dismissed for 59 off 40 balls with six fours and three wickets. Stoinis carried his bat through the innings and registered 147 runs out of 79 balls with 13 fours and 8 sixes.

  • Matthew Wade and D’Arcy Short (203 runs) in 2020

The second duo registering their names in the list are Matthew Wade and D’Arcy Short, the pair has also managed to achieve victory on numerous occasions for their teams. They are also considered as one of the most dangerous pairs in the history of the Big Bash League. But they managed to achieve the second spot of highest partnership during the 2020 season. Together, they could add 203 runs for the first wicket in 18.2 overs.

  • Rob Quiney and Luke Wright (172 runs) in 2012

This partnership, however, remained at top during the initial years and till 2020, they were considered one of the strongest and most scoring duos. As per reports, in a match between Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes at Hobart (2012 season) both openers batted for almost 17 overs of the innings to make a record-breaking partnership. And Rob Quiney got out after scoring 62 off 50 balls with four boundaries and one six. While Luke Wright went on to score an incredible century.
