The batsman to lead the list in this regard is Marcus Stoinis, who successfully managed team Melbourne Stars to achieve the third BBL edition. According to reports, Stoinis scored 705 runs in 17 games at an average of 54.23 and a strike rate of 136.62, with one century and six half-centuries. However, he came to be known as the run-scorer in a single edition of the championship.
Another exceptional batsman, D’Arcy Short played 15 games in 2018/19, and successfully scored 637 runs at an average and strike rate of 53.08 and 140.61, respectively. Moreover, the player has scored 6 brilliant fifties in that season. As a result of his astonishing performance, Short managed to become the highest scorer in the 2018/19 season.
The player to follow the list in this regard is Matthew Wade. After Short, Mathew became the highest run-scorer of 2018/19. However, the cricketer has managed to play around 15 BBL matches and registered 592 runs to his name at an average of 42.28, and a strike rate of 146.89. Further, he scored 6 half-centuries in the tournament.
Ben McDermott is said to have presented exceptional performance in the last season of Big Bash League. According to reports, Ben played 13 games and scored 577 runs at an average of 48.08 and a strike rate of 153.86, that includes two centuries and three half-centuries. Also, he became the only player to score two centuries in a single season, alongside being the highest run-scorer in the 2021/22 season.
The player to bag the fifth position in this context is Alex Hales. He is considered as one among the well-known performers in T20 leagues and has successfully played 17 games and registered 576 runs to his name at an average and strike rate of 38.40 and 146.93, respectively, along with 6 half-centuries.
