Call of Duty fans are buzzing with excitement as Black Ops 7 approaches, and one of the biggest talking points is its Zombies mode. While Activision has not revealed much officially, the teaser trailer gave us a tiny glimpse just a split second of zombies enough to get the community talking.
Now, new leaks from well-known insider @TheGhostOfHope have added fuel to the hype. These details are still unconfirmed, but they give us an exciting picture of what might be coming in BO7 Zombies.
Note: These details are based on leaks and speculation. Also, the final part of this article contains BO6 Zombies spoilers.

All the Black Ops 7 Zombies Leaks So Far
- Bigger, Better Tranzit-Style Gameplay
One of the biggest rumors is that BO7 will bring back the fan-favorite Tranzit map from Black Ops 2 but in a much larger scale. The areas will reportedly be more open, allowing for more exploration, strategy, and high-action moments. - Full Dark Aether Setting
The entire Zombies mode is said to take place inside the Dark Aether dimension. This means every single map could have a darker, more surreal atmosphere, perfect for intense survival gameplay. - Mix and Match Crews
A standout feature could be the ability to combine members from the original Primis crew and the BO6 Zombies crew. Choosing different character combinations might trigger unique voice lines and fun interactions between them.
- Four-Player Limit Stays
Just like previous versions, the mode is expected to keep the maximum of four players in a match.
How This Connects to the BO6 Zombies Story (Spoilers)
The Black Ops 6 Zombies story ended with the final map, Reckoning, which arrived in Season 5. Players had two choices side with S.A.M. or Richtofen.
Whichever ending you chose, the last cutscene showed the BO6 crew being teleported into an alternate Dark Aether reality. They arrived at Janus Tower Reception, where they met the original Primis crew: Richtofen, Takeo, Dempsey, and Nikolai.
This cliffhanger perfectly sets up the rumored mix-and-match crew feature in BO7, as the story now puts both teams in the same universe.
When Will We See More?
The Black Ops 7 worldwide reveal is set for Gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live on August 19, 2025. Many believe that will be our first real look at the new Zombies mode possibly even gameplay footage.
