The BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2025 has brought a big change to how teams will qualify for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025. This new rule aims to make the selection process clearer, fairer, and based only on performance at BMIC.
New PMGC Qualification Rule for BMIC 2025
Earlier, teams could get a PMGC slot through national league rankings or recommendations. But now, the organizers have confirmed that only BMIC 2025 results will decide which teams move forward to PMGC.
If a team has already earned a PMGC slot from another route and still wins another through BMIC, their extra slot will go to the next best-performing team in the BMIC standings. This helps remove confusion and ensures that every PMGC slot is fairly distributed.
This change also guarantees that every match in BMIC 2025 will matter. Each team will have a clear goal perform well in this tournament, and the PMGC spot is yours.
Teams Playing in BMIC 2025
BMIC 2025 will feature 16 top teams from India, South Korea, and Japan. The event will take place in New Delhi from October 31 to November 2, 2025.
India: Orangutan, K9 Esports, Team Soul, True Rippers, Gods Reign, Nebula Esports, Mysterious 4, Madkings
South Korea: Dplus, NongShim RedForce, Jecheon Phalanx, DRX
Japan: Reject, Reignite, Making The Road, CAG Osaka
Interestingly, Orangutan from India and Dplus from South Korea have already qualified for PMGC 2025 through their regional leagues. So, if they again earn a PMGC slot at BMIC, that slot will go to the next-highest team on the leaderboard. This system ensures more diversity and better representation from all regions.
Why This Change Matters
This update is not just a rule change it’s a step toward making competitive gaming more transparent. Players now know that only their BMIC performance will decide their PMGC fate. No recommendations or past rankings will play a role this season.
For fans, this rule means even more excitement. Every round and every fight can make a huge difference in a team’s journey to the world stage. The new rule will make the matches more intense, as teams must give their best in every game to secure their PMGC spot.
