The Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown (BMSD) 2025 ended with a spectacular finale in Hyderabad, marking a new milestone in India’s esports journey. After three days of intense matches, Team Orangutan emerged as the ultimate champions, showing outstanding teamwork, focus, and consistency. Their victory not only earned them the top share of the ₹1 crore prize pool but also a direct qualification to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025 the biggest stage in mobile gaming.

Orangutan’s Road to Victory

Throughout the tournament, Orangutan maintained strong control, making smart rotations and clutch plays that set them apart from their competitors. They finished on top of the leaderboard with 147 points, proving why they’re one of the most dominant teams in India right now.

Following closely behind, K9 Esports claimed the second position with 142 points, earning a cash prize of ₹15 lakhs for their stellar performance. Team Soul secured third place with 134 points, taking home ₹10 lakhs and once again proving their consistency on the big stage.

Apart from the top three, the top eight teams from BMSD 2025 have now qualified for the BGMI International Cup (BMIC), where they’ll represent India against elite teams from Japan and South Korea. This next step is not only about international recognition but also about putting Indian esports on the global map once again.

The Grand Finale in Hyderabad

The live-studio event in Hyderabad brought together 16 of India’s best BGMI teams, all competing in front of roaring fans and millions watching online. The atmosphere was electric, filled with energy and pride, as players gave their all to prove they belonged among the country’s best.
