The Boston Marathon 2025 is scheduled to be held on Monday, April 21 where top elite runners from different parts of the world will take part.
This will be the 129th edition of the Boston Marathon- one of the prestigious long distance races in the world.
The Boston Marathon is traditionally held on Patriots’ Day in the US, which is the third Monday in April. This time it also falls on Easter Monday.
The 2025 edition will mark the return of defending champions Hellen Obiri and Sisay Lemma. While Obiri, the Paris 2024 Games Olympic bronze medallist, is chasing a treble of women’s titles in Boston, Lemma of Ethiopia will look to reclaim the title in the men’s event.
Boston Marathon 2025: Course
The runners will kick off on Main Street in Hopkinton, a start that’s mostly downhill, before tackling the grueling hills in Newton. The runners will finish on Boylston Street near Copley Square.
