1. First Title For Brazil – 1958
In the 1958 FIFA World Cup, Brazil won their first-ever World Cup title at Rasunda Stadium in Solna against the nation that was hosting the 1958 FIFA World Cup, Sweden. Brazil won by a 5-2 margin. The players who scored valuable goals for Brazil were Vava, who scored 2 goals; Pelé, who scored 2 goals; and Mario Zagallo, who scored one goal.
From the Swedish side, the 2 goals were scored by Nils Liedholm and Agne Simonsson. Seventeen-year-old Pelé was the most significant and most valuable player for Brazil throughout the tournament, as Brazil won 5 out of the 6 matches they played in the tournament. 2. Second Title For Brazil – 1962
On 17th June 1962, at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago, Chile, this was Brazil’s second consecutive win in the FIFA World Cup, defeating Czechoslovakia by a 3-1 margin. Despite the major setback in the final match, which was the absence of Pelé in that match, 28-year-old Garrincha got the chance to play for Brazil, and he took the opportunity with both hands.
The three goals for Brazil in that match were scored by Amarildo, Zito, and Vava. Brazil won 5 matches in that tournament out of the 6 games they played, and 1 was a draw. Garrincha scored 4 goals in the 1962 FIFA World Cup and became a key player in Brazil’s second title win.
3. Third Title For Brazil – 1970
In the 9th edition of the FIFA World Cup, hosted by Mexico, it was Brazil’s third title win. Under Carlos Alberto, Brazil touched this milestone at the very famous venue, Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, defeating Italy in the final match by 4-1 in the FIFA World Cup 1970. Pele, Gerson, Jairzinho, and Carlos Alberto scored a total of four goals for Brazil.
Pele scored the 1st goal of the match, Gerson scored 2nd goal of the match with his left-footed fiery shot, Jairzinho scored the 3rd goal, and the captain Carlos scored the fourth and final goal in the 86th minute of the match. These 4 players were the reason for Brazil’s victory over Italy and securing the 3rd title of the FIFA World Cup.
4. Fourth Title For Brazil – 1994
At the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, history was witnessed as Brazil won their 4th title in the 15th edition of the FIFA World Cup. On 17th June 1994, with a margin of 3-2, defeating Italy, under Carlos Dunga’s captaincy, Brazil won. After 90 minutes, the match stood at 0-0.
In the penalty shootout, Brazil secured 3 goals, which were scored by Marcio Santos, Branco, and Carlos Dunga, and won the match and secured the FIFA 1994 title. Under the heat of 38 degrees and in front of nearly 1 lakh spectators, Brazil won their 4th FIFA World Cup title.
5. Fifth Title For Brazil – 2002
Brazil won their last recorded title in 2002 against Germany in the 17th edition of the FIFA World Cup. With a margin of 2-0, Brazil won its 5th title. On 30th June 2002, at the very reputable venue, International Stadium (Nissan Stadium), Yokohama, Japan, in front of nearly 70,000 spectators.
Under Cafu’s captaincy, with players like Gilberto, Kleberson, and Roberto Carlos, the match was played. In that tournament, Ronaldo was the winner of the Golden Boot award, and he was the player who scored both goals for Brazil in the final match, leading Brazil to their 5th title of the FIFA World Cup.
