The BWF World Championships 2025 is set to take place in Paris, France from 25–31 August.
This will be the 29th edition of the tournament in which the best shuttlers from across the globe will compete for the annual glory.
Actions of the World Badminton Championships will take place at the Adidas Arena in the French capital.
The tournaments offers the most ranking points, along with the Summer Olympics badminton events.
China are the most successful nation in the history of the championship with 202 titles. They have earned 70 gold medals, 49 silver medals, and 83 bronze medals.
The tournament was launched 1977 and was held once every three years until 1983.
Since 1985, the tournament became biennial and was played once every two years until 2005. Starting 2006, the championship was converted to an annual event on the BWF calendar. The tournament is not held during the Summer Olympics years to avoid schedule clashes.
