BWF World Tour Finals 2025: Full List of Qualified Players

4 Min Read

The BWF World Tour Finals is the final tournament of the 2025 BWF World Tour. It will be held from 17 to 21 December 2025 in Hangzhou, China

The 2025 BWF World Tour will be the eighth edition of the BWF World Tour Finals. It is being organized by the Chinese Badminton Association with sanction from the BWF.

BWF World Tour Finals: Qualification criteria

The top eight players or pairs in each category will qualify based on their BWF World Tour rankings. However, there’s a special rule according to which not more than two players/pairs from each country or association in each category can qualify for the year-end finals.

The World Tour Rankings are based on the tournaments held in the season. These are divided into five levels: Level 1 – World Tour Finals, Level 2 – Super 1000 (4 tournaments), Level 3 – Super 750 (6 tournaments), Level 4 – Super 500 (9 tournaments) and Level 5 – Super 300 (11 tournaments).

Players earn their spots by performing well in tournaments throughout the year. They can count their best 14 tournament results, with a limit of three results from the Super 100 tournaments.

Unlike the 2024 edition of BWF World Tour Finals, where reigning Olympic champions were granted a spot in the finals, this year, reigning World Champions automatically qualified for the tournament.

If players have the same ranking, the selection will depend on the number of BWF World Tour tournaments they have participated in, and the points earned in those tournaments from July 1 of that year onward.
