The draw for the third-round of the Carabao Cup 2024-25 took place on Wednesday evening with the top clubs in the Premier League making an entry into the competition.
The third-round draw sees the teams playing in European competition this season enter the tournament after the rest of the Premier League clubs began in the second round.
The Carabao Cup 2024-25 third-round draw consisted of 32 Clubs – 25 winners from the second round and the seven Premier League Clubs in UEFA competitions also entering in this round.
Round Three draw ensured a club participating in the Champions League did not draw a club taking part in the Europa League.
Highlights From Carabao Cup 2024-25 Third Round Draw

Defending champions Liverpool have been drawn against West Ham Unite while reigning Premier League winners Manchester City have been pitted against second-tier Watford.
Manchester United and Arsenal both secured home ties in the third round. While United will play League One Barnsley at Old Trafford, Arsenal will play host to League One’s Bolton Wanderers at the Emirates.
Tottenham Hotspur must travel to second-tier Coventry and 2024 runners-up Chelsea host fourth-tier Barrow.
As clubs in the Champions League and Europa League will play more fixtures, the third round of the Carabao Cup 2024-25 will now be played across a fortnight.
Moreover, clubs competing in the Champions League and Europa League were not drawn against each other to avoid fixture clash.

When Will Third Round Matches Of Carabao Cup 2024–25 Take Place?
The third round games will be held across two midweeks in September due to the new expanded format of the Champions League and Europa League this season.
Matches will be played in the weeks commencing Sept. 16 and 23.
