The 2024-25 season of the Champions League is underway in a new format and expectations are high from star players. Let us have a look at the Champions League players with the highest salaries.
Robert Lewandowski- £538,104/week
Barcelona’s financial condition might be in blues but their star striker Robert Lewandowski takes home £538,104-per-week. He is the highest-paid player in Champions League 2024-25. He is worth every penny and the Pole has proved to be a prolific scorer for the team. In 2024-25, Lewandowski has scored 19 goals from 16 games, including five times in the Champions League. The 36-year-old has 99 Champions League goals.
Kylian Mbappe- £504,523/week
Kylian Mbappe’s switch to Real Madrid from PSG was much talked-about. He was one of the most sought-after players and Le Blancos management netted him at €15m (£12.8m) a year in a five-year contract. Mbappe actually took a drastic pay cut in order to secure his much anticipated move and earns £504,523 on a weekly. Therefore, he has dropped from being the highest-earner by some margin down to second.
So far, Mbappe has failed to live up to the expectations in his new club scoring just six goals in ten appearances.
Harry Kane- £403,619/week
Harry Kane has been setting records at Bayern Munich ever since his arrival in the Bundesliga last season. He has scored 47 goals in 41 appearances for the German Giant. In 2024-25, the England international scored 5 goals in the elite European tournament in four matches. Kane is the third highest-paid Champions League player.
Kevin De Bruyne- £400,000/week
Kevin De Bruyne is fourth on the list, despite the Premier League being the most lucrative of all leagues. He has been with Manchester City since 2015, scoring 69 goals in 261 appearances. The Belgian earns a salary of £400,000-per-week.
Erling Haaland- £375,000/week
Erling Haaland is a force to reckon with and justifies the £375,000-per-week wage he gets with his stellar performances. He scored nine goals in his opening four games in the 2024/25 Premier League. He won the Champions League in his first season at the Etihad.
