On Friday, superstar wrestlers were assigned to the Raw and SmackDown brands in the 2023 WWE Draught. SmackDown took Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman, and Solo Sikoa with the first overall pick in the draught. Cody Rhodes went to Raw with the No. 2 pick. Bianca Belair was the third overall pick in the SmackDown draught. Becky Lynch was selected by Raw with the fourth overall pick.
The two-night WWE Draught for 2023 will resume on Monday night Raw on May 1. The new rosters will take effect following WWE Backlash on Saturday, May 6.

Meanwhile, some matches were held on Friday night’s SmackDown. Butch was defeated in a head-to-head match by LA Knight. The Street Profits defeated Braun Strowman and Ricochet, as well as LWO’s Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, in a triple threat match. Zelina Vega defeated Sonya Deville in another one-on-one match. The night’s main event saw Undisputed WWE Tag Team champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeat The Usos and successfully defend their title.
