Chelsea defeats Brentford away from home

Ben Chilwell scored the only goal of the game to hand Chelsea the victory. The win keeps the blues at the top of the Premier League standings.

Brentford looked close to open the scoring in the 20th minute with Mbeumo hitting the post. But a few seconds later Chelsea were on the break and Lukaku managed to put the ball into the back of the net. However, the goal was ruled out for off-side. Chilwell scored a stunning strike from just inside the Brentford box in the 45th minute.

Lukaku missed a guilt edge chance in the 70th minute to double the lead. Meanwhile, Brentford made life hard for the European champions at the other end. Edouard Mendy was on top form on the night to keep out flurry of attacks from Brentford. As a result, Chelsea clung onto the lead to win their sixth game of the season to stay on top.

Liverpool trashes Watford 5-0

Roberto Firmino was in the mood on the day for the reds. The Brazilian scored a hat-trick and his strike partners Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane chipped in with goals of their own to lead Liverpool to an emphatic victory.

Sadio Mane opened the scoring in the 8th minute of the game for Liverpool. The Senegalese international scored following a beautiful outside of the boot pass from Mohamed Salah to release him in behind. It was Mane’s 100th premier league goal. He achieved this feat in gis 237th game. He has appeared for Southampton and for Liverpool. Trent Alexander Arnold released Mohamed Salah in the 19th minute to create a 1v1 chance. However, the Egyptian squandered the chance to give his side a second goal.

Roberto Firmino scored his first of the night after Milner squared him off to score a tap in. The Brazilian added a second in a similar fashion in the 52nd minute. Mohamed Salah scored his side’s fourth of the day with yet another wonder goal. The Egyptian skipped around the defenders with ease before slotting the ball in the far corner.

Meanwhile, Firmino completed his hat-trick in the stoppage time with another tap-in to round off a 5-0 win.
