Premier League side Chelsea are now in direct contacts with the La Liga side FC Barcelona over Frenkie de Jong. Frenkie de Jong is rumoured to leave the club and join Erik ten Hag’s side Manchester United this summer. But it seems the player doesn’t want to leave the club.

Frenkie de Jong is a world-class midfielder and has played for Erik ten Hag before but it seems he doesn’t want to play in UEFA Europa League and desperately wants Champions League football. Now as per reports from David Ornstein, the Premier League side Chelsea is feeling optimistic about the deal and will trigger the asked price kept for Frenkie de Jong by Barcelona. FC Barcelona director Joan Laporta always says that they are doing they are level best to keep Frenkie in the club but it seems to register their new signings they need to offload some players and Frenkie is in that list.
