Chelsea reach full agreement to sign Kalidou Koulibaly
Chelsea FC are interested in signing Napoli’s defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.
Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly could be leaving the club this summer as Premier League side Chelsea FC is interested in the central defender. Premier League side wants to sign a centre-back this summer as two of their main centre-backs namely Antonio Rudiger and Christensen left the club this summer.
Antonio Rudiger joined the UEFA Champions League winner Real Madrid and whereas Christensen joined their rival club named FC Barcelona. Both of these defenders didn’t want to stay in England and wanted to leave for the La Liga side. Chelsea looked so many potential options namely Jules Kounde of Sevilla FC, Matthijs de Ligt of Juventus and many more but set Koulibaly their priority after they couldn’t reach an agreement with Matthijs de Ligt.
It was a roller coaster ride between Bayern Munich and Chelsea to sign the centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, but the player had his heart set at Bayern and thus he rejected Chelsea’s offer. Thomas Tuchel (Chelsea FC manager) thus wanted the club to change their priority to the Napoli Centre-back (Kalidou Koulibaly)
Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Wednesday that the deal is set to go between Chelsea and Napoli for Kalidou Koulibaly and he will be in the Premier League next season.
