They could qualify for the Champions league whilst being 16th in the Premier league

If they win the Europa league final against Tottenham, they could qualify for the Champions league whilst being 16th in the Premier league table.

This was Manchester United’s 18th league defeat of the season, their most in a season since losing 20 in 1973-74 in the last season in which they were relegated. The season has been a failure for the management and the new manager but if they can win the Europa league, it will be a big positive for United to take back.
