The Cincinnati Open returns in a reimagined version.I t is a one of the prominent hard-court tennis tournament played as a part of the American swing and head the the US Open Grand Slam.
The 2025 Cincinnati Open will be played on outdoor hardcourts from 7 to 18 August 2025. Events will take place at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio, a northern suburb of Cincinnati, in the United States.
It is classified as a Masters 1000 tournament on the 2025 ATP Tour and a WTA 1000 tournament on the 2025 WTA Tour. The tournament will be the 124th men’s edition and the 97th women’s edition of the Cincinnati Open.
This year’s edition will expand to two full weeks and nearly double the field for its men’s and women’s singles draws. Both the men’s and women’s tournaments will expand from 56 players to 96 players, a significant rise for one of the world’s premiere singles championships. The expansion will also increase the tournament duration from nine to 14 days.
Jannik Sinner will return to defend his title in men’s single. Coming fresh off winning the Wimbledon title, the current world number one will look to spell magic in the hard courts. He will face challenges from the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev and Taylor Fritz.
Novak Djokovic will be chasing his elusive 100th ATP title.
Aryna Sabalenka headlines the seeds in women’s singles. The world number one will have to fend off big threats such as Coco Gauff, Iga Świątek and Jessica Pegula to retain her crown.
