Call of Duty (COD): Mobile is ready to bring something exciting in Season 5 (2025). The test server has already shown some cool updates. From new weapons to fresh skins, from a big Nier: Automata crossover to smart game features a lot is coming.
Here’s a simple look at what’s new and what’s returning in CODM Season 5.
1. Nier: Automata Event is Coming
A brand-new event is on its way, featuring a big collab with the popular game Nier: Automata. This time, you’ll see:
- Epic and Legendary blueprints for guns like AK-47 and PP19 Bizon
- Fancy katana swords, gloves, knives, and spears
- A new Kui Ji skin dressed like 9S from Nier
These items will be both free (through events) and paid (through crates or bundles).
2. New SMG – VMP
The VMP submachine gun is fast and has a big magazine. It works great in short-range fights. It first appeared in Black Ops III and IV. In Season 5, it’s finally coming to COD Mobile.
3. Sniper Alert – Mosin-Nagant
This bolt-action sniper is expected in Season 6. It’s strong and deadly if you aim well. With one shot to the head, you can finish enemies quickly. Perfect for players who like sniping from a distance.
4. Bomb Drone Scorestreak
This new scorestreak lets you fly a small drone with a bomb. You can explode it on enemies. It helps with scouting and surprise kills.
5. New Map Look – Vacant Gets a Makeover
The old Vacant map is getting big changes. Now it will have:
- Better building designs
- New paths and hiding spots
- Good changes for close-range fights
6. Mystery Mythic Character
A new Mythic character is coming, but her name is not out yet. We only saw a silhouette of a female holding a pistol. People think she looks like the “Death Angel Alice” skin. Let’s wait for more info!
7. Legendary Guns You’ll See
Here are some big-name gun skins coming soon:
- Mythic VMP – Live and Die
- Legendary AK-47 – ICB Rifle
- Legendary M1 Garand – Unicorn Horn
- Chopper – Hell Dog Prestige
More will be revealed as the season begins.
8. More Operator Skins
New skins include:
- Rin Yoshida – Noir Petals
- Soap – Muddy
- Wyatt – Outback
- Kui Ji – 9S (from the Nier event)
- Vivian Harris, Kitsune, American Bulldog, and many more!
9. Auto-Leaning Feature
There’s a new trick in the game auto-leaning. Now, your character will lean around walls on their own. No button needed. It helps you shoot from behind cover quickly and smoothly.
10. Battle Royale Visual Update
The puddles on the BR map will now reflect light again! This small visual touch makes the map feel more real, especially when it rains or when the roads are wet.
11. Returning Gear in BR
The Serial Bomb is back! It blasts in many directions after a short delay. Great for taking out squads hiding near the circle’s edge.
12. New Tank in BR
A Light Tank has been added to Battle Royale. It’s fast and has strong guns. Now you can take control of open areas with heavy firepower.
13. New BR Cash System
In Season 5, you’ll find $500 or $1,000 cash stacks on the ground. This makes it easier to buy loadouts and gear during the match. It’s fairer and faster now.
14. Thermite & C4 Are Here
Battle Royale now has two strong explosives:
- Thermite burns enemies and stops them from healing.
- C4 can blow up walls and enemies when thrown smartly.
15. Legendary Combat Axe
A new axe with glowing symbols and a special kill animation has been found in the files. It’s perfect for players who love collecting rare items.
16. Diamond Camo for All Parts
Now you can put diamond camo not just on your gun but also on every part: scope, barrel, and grip. Your gun will shine like never before.
17. Smoother Movements & Cool Gun Animations
The devs have made the game smoother. Walking, sliding, and aiming now feel more natural. The XM4 is the first gun to get new animations, but more guns will follow.
