The Copa America Femenina 2025 is set to bring the best national women’s football teams from South America together who will be battling for continental glory.
The tournament will take place from 11 July to 2 August in Ecuador. This will be the 10th edition of the main international women’s football championship in South America
Copa America Femenina will provide teams with an opportunity for the first qualification spots for the next Pan American Games, to be held in Lima in 2027.
Brazil are the defending champions and one of the favourites to clinch the title. They have won eight of nine editions of the Copa America Femenina. They only missed it in 2006, when Argentina took the title on home soil.
The tournament will kick off on 11 July, with hosts Ecuador taking on Uruguay at Estadio Banco Guayaquil. The final will be played on Sunday, 2 August, at Estadio Rodrigo Paz Delgado in Quito.
Copa America Femenina 2025: Format
A total of 10 teams from South America are taking part in the tournament. They have been divided into two groups of five teams. The top two teams from each pool at the end of the group stage will advance to the semi-finals.
