According to Talksport, Ronaldo will now earn £178 million a year (around 400 million euros or INR 2000 crore over the next two years) after agreeing to extend his deal with Al-Nassr. The contract also includes several bonuses and benefits:
- A £24.5 million signing bonus (which goes up to £38 million in the second year)
- An £8 million bonus if Al-Nassr win the Saudi Pro League
- A £5 million bonus if they win the Asian Champions League
- A £4 million bonus if Ronaldo wins the Golden Boot
- 15% ownership of Al-Nassr, estimated to be worth £33 million
- An £80,000 bonus for every goal (which increases by 20% in the second year)
- A £40,000 bonus for every assist (also goes up by 20% in the second year)
- £60 million worth of promised sponsorship deals
- £4 million in private jet costs covered by Al-Nassr

Ronaldo’s Impact on Saudi Football’s Growth
This massive deal shows just how important Ronaldo is to the club, both on and off the pitch.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the famous Portuguese goal scorer, joined Al-Nassr in 2023. His arrival marked the beginning of a trend where many well-known players in the later stages of their careers started moving to Saudi Arabia, attracted by the country’s wealth.
Just last month, after the Saudi Pro League ended with Al-Nassr finishing third and missing out on all trophies again, Ronaldo posted: “This chapter is over,” leading many to believe he was planning to leave.
However, a source from the Public Investment Fund (PIF), a key investor in Saudi football, told AFP: “Ronaldo’s presence is a key factor in developing the Saudi league in the last two years and a half. He opens the door for elite and young players to come to Saudi Arabia,”
The PIF, which is backed by the country’s oil wealth, manages several major clubs in the Saudi Pro League, including Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, and Al-Ahli.
