Cristiano Ronaldo signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr after leaving Manchester United.
Ronaldo left Old Trafford and signed a contract with Al Nassr through 2025, though the club made no mention of the terms of the agreement.
According to media estimates, Ronaldo’s contract is worth more than 200 million euros ($214.04 million).
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has scored 12 goals since that time. Rivaldo, a former Brazilian legend, thinks the 38-year-old may not be happy in his new surroundings despite being welcomed as a hero.
Rivaldo told Mundo Deportivo, “I understand that sometimes players are misled by the large contract they sign in Saudi Arabia, but life there is more closed, and football is not always as easy as expected.
“As a result, you may be experiencing a period of disappointment and possibly even reflection. If the income you receive compensates for the unhappy current state of your life. Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Real Madrid to complete his career would be beneficial for both him and football.
Naturally, the supporters must realise that they cannot expect the same of him as they did when he was 25 or 26 years old, but he can still aid the team in more victories.
After a glittering tenure at Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid from 2009 to 2018, where he won two LaLiga titles, two Spanish Cups, four Champions League titles, and three Club World Cups, Cristiano Ronaldo arrived in Saudi Arabia with an extensive collection of club accolades.
