MI vs CSK IPL 2025 Prediction: Pitch Report, Playing 11 And More
CSK vs MI, IPL 2025: The MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai is hosting the third match of IPL 2025 on Sunday, March 23, between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI).
This is a renewal of IPL’s biggest rivalry, with CSK, led by Ruturaj Gaikwad, aiming to continue their dominance, having won five of the last six matchups. Mumbai Indians, led by Suryakumar Yadav in place of the banned Hardik Pandya, will look to improve their record against CSK and win their first season opener since 2012.
CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and opted to bowl first. He mentioned that they are unsure about the pitch conditions and will aim to adapt quickly to the situation.
“We are going to bowl first. It looks good, to be honest. We are playing for the first time. Don’t really know how it will play. It looks a bit spicy but every time the wicket plays different here. You don’t know how it will play. So, it will be about adapting to the conditions quickly.”
“The preparation has been good. Everyone has been a part of the camp from the first day. We have a number of talented young players coming into the side. We also have our young wicket-keeper coming back as well. We also had a good auction.”
Ruturaj Gaikwad also announced the four overseas players in the Chennai Super Kings playing XI: Noor Ahmad, Rachin Ravindra, Sam Curran, and Nathan Ellis. He surprisingly left out Matheesha Pathirana, which surprised many. He said:
“It’s always good to be back in yellow. I have been playing here since a long time and I’m enjoying it. We have three medium-pacers to go with three spinners. Our four overseas players are Noor, Ellis, Rachin Ravindra and Sam Curran.”
