The 2024 Cup of China is set to be a decisive event as the last 10 spots at the figure skating Grand Prix Final in Grenoble, France, will be determined here.
The sixth stop on the ISU ( International Skating Union) series takes place in Chongqing, China, from 22 to 24 November.
France’s Adam Siao Him Fa and USA’s Amber Glenn, who have claimed earlier victories, will hope to book the Grand Prix Final spot.

With 15 points pocketed from his win at the Grand Prix de France, Adam Siao Him Fa is in a strong position to make the Final on home ice in Grenoble.
Sato Shun, who finished second at Skate Canada, would hope to fetch enough points to advance to the Final. Shun will battle to represent Japan in Grenoble, alongside NHK Trophy and Finlandia Trophy winner Kagiyama Yuma.

Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Shaidorov will look to shine on the stage where he won his only Grand Prix medal thus far, a bronze at the 2023 Cup of China.
Japanese skaters make a beeline at the event even as fierce competition is expected in the women’s event as Watanabe Rinka, Chiba Mone, and Sumiyoshi Rion try to join three teammates who have already qualified for December’s Final.
Mixing into the all-Japanese battle is USA national champion Amber Glenn who won the Grand Prix de France and the ISU Challenger Series Lombardia Trophy, and is aiming to qualify for her career’s first Grand Prix Final.
The pairs line-up in the Cup of China will have the winners of last year’s Grand Prix Final Minerva Fabienne Hase and Nikita Volodin of Germany take on their closest rivals, 2023 runners-up Sara Conti and Niccolo Macii.
Three-time Olympians Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri headline the ice dance field at the Cup of China. Canada’s pair Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha and USA’s duo Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko will also compete to win spots in the Final.
