In an exciting Dabang Delhi vs Tamil Thalaivas PKL Season 12 encounter, Dabang Delhi K.C. defeated Tamil Thalaivas by 37-31 at the Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium on Friday. The victory sends Delhi level on points with table leaders Puneri Paltan, making the playoff position even more competitive.

Akshit Dhull, who was the super-sub breaking out the match, was a notable effort in the match where he picked 12 important raid points; veteran defender Fazel Atrachali chipped in with his own high-five. Even Arjun Deshwal’s Super 10 could not stop Delhi from turning the game around in the second half.

First Half: Arjun Deshwal Rules Early as Thalaivas Take Lead

The match started heavily in the favour of Tamil Thalaivas, led by Arjun Deshwal. Early defensive efforts from Sagar Rathee and Aashish continued to eliminate star Delhi players Neeraj Narwal and Ajinkya.

A 2-point explosive raid by Arjun sent Surjeet Singh and Akshit waving bye as Dabang Delhi saw their first ALL OUT. By the 10-minute interval, the Thalaivas were leading comfortably at 13-6, having control over momentum.

Akshit Turns the Tide for Dabang Delhi

Dabang Delhi, with each raid, was getting back into the match and the game shifted when Akshit Dhull was substituted into the game. He made an immediate impression with a big raid taking down Arulnanthababu and Aashish, leading to an ALL OUT on the Thalaivas.

At the same time, Fazel Atrachali confronted the in-form Arjun Deshwal, and Sandeep got rid of Moein Shafaghi, turning the tide in Delhi’s direction again.

Still, Arjun completed his Super 10 in the dying seconds of the first half, giving Thalaivas a slim 19-16 lead at the break.

Second Half: Delhi’s Comeback Seals the Deal

Dabang Delhi came out strong after halftime, immediately equalizing and then taking the lead. Naveen Kumar and Surjeet made key plays to remove Ronak and Moein, making the score 23-23 at the end of the third quarter.

The decisive moment came when Akshit pulled off a stunning Do-Or-Die raid, eliminating both Mohit and Ronak. That raid set the stage for Delhi’s second ALL OUT, inflicted after Aashish was tackled by Fazel.

With that, Delhi had opened up a commanding lead. Akshit finished his Super 10 soon, and obtained Sagar Rathee in another good raid. Fazel Atrachali finished off his night with a tackle on Arjun Deshwal, ending the night with a well-deserved High Five.
