The Davis Cup is back for its 113th edition and the Qualifiers first Round will be played from (30 January-2 February). 

Davis Cup is an international men’s tennis tournament in which multiple nations take participate and is part of an ATP World Tour.

Davis Cup 2025: Format

Changes have been made to the tournament’s format this year. The winners of the Qualifiers first Round this week will progress to the second round in September, where the final seven teams will be determined.

Under the new format, the Qualifiers second round in September will feature seven home-or-away ties held over two days. The seven winning teams will join the host nation in the Final 8 knock-out stage in November.

As both defending champions and hosts, Italy have already qualified for the Final 8, to be held in Bologna from 18–23 November 2025.

Davis Cup 2024 debut finalists Netherlands have received a bye into the second round.

Among the prominent names featuring in this season’s openers are Casper Ruud (Norway, world number 5), Alex de Minaur (Australia, world no. 8), Holger Rune (Denmark, world no. 12) and Ugo Humbert (France, world no. 15).
