Premier League side Nottingham Forest has signed Dean Henderson on a season-long loan from Manchester United. There is no buy option included in this deal. Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on Friday that the second-choice goalkeeper of Manchester United will play for Nottingham Forest on loan on his official Twitter account.
After talks between the club ended on Friday, the deal was agreed and the English goalkeeper will sign with the club once he returns from his holidays. Dean Henderson was also England’s second or third-choice goalkeeper but didn’t get much game time last season. England’s manager Gareth Southgate didn’t give him many chances to show himself and so do his Premier League club Manchester United.
Dean Henderson was before expected to move to Newcastle United who was another club interested in signing him. But after the talks between the club broke in, he decided to go to Nottingham Forest.
Nottingham Forest qualified for the Premier League and will play in the league after so many years. They wanted to sign a new goalkeeper and had an eye on Manchester United’s second-choice keeper.
