While the Indian team is all set for the English tour, another segment of the team will be flying to Sri Lanka for a limited over series against the hosts.
In the meantime, in a conversation with Times of India, Deepak Chahar told about how MS Dhoni helped in gaining confidence and Shikhar Dhawan can be a good choice as a captain for the Sri Lankan tour.
The youngster cherished the moments which he has had with MS Dhoni, he mentioned how the skipper used to guide from behind the stumps and made him confident from what he is today. And he is pretty much confident that the experience will help him perform well in his upcoming tour.
He also mentioned how Shikhar Dhawan can be a good choice for being leading the side for the Sri Lankan tour as he has got a lot of experience.
It will be interesting to see how the youngster performs in the upcoming tour and use his IPL experience.
