Diamond League 2025 Shaoxing: Top Athletes To Watch, List Of Events

The 2025 Diamond League Series heads to its second stop at Keqiao, Shaoxing in China. After some exciting clashes in the first round, top athletes from across the world will look to collect crucial wins to qualify for the Finale.

The elite track and field athletes will gather at the China Textile City Sports Centre in Keqiao and the meet takes place on Saturday 3 May.

After creating world record in Xiamen, Swedish pole vault star Mondo Duplantis will look to hit another high. Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh will look to raise the bar even higher in their third consecutive competition this season in the People’s Republic of China.

African sprinters including Botswana’s Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo will look to improve his performance after Akani Simbine got off to a flying start last week in Xiamen.

World record holder Karsten Warholm returns for the men’s 400m hurdles this time, after smashing the 300m hurdles world best in the last Diamond meet. After producing world’s best in the 300m hurdles, Warholm is expected to clock another fast time when he steps up to the 400m hurdles.

After conquering the 100m last Saturday, world 100m leader Akani Simbine will look for third consecutive wins in under a month.

European champion Rhasidat Adeleke of Ireland headlines the women’s 200m, which will also include USA’s 4x100m relay reigning champion Twanisha Terry.
