Indian Wicketkeeping batsman and Kolkata Knight Riders’ star cricketer Dinesh Karthik has now decided to try his hands into cricket Commentating. It’s been a couple of weeks since the IPL was suspended and now Sky Sports has announced the name of Dinesh Karthik in its star-studded commentary lineup for The Hundred.
The Hundred is a professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament involving eight men’s and women’s teams located in major cities across England and Wales. The much-anticipated cricket league will start on July 21st.
Sky Sports, who is the broadcasting partner of The Hundred has officially announced a star-studded commentary panel which includes the name of Dinesh Karthik. He will be joining the likes of, Stuart Broad, Kevin Pietersen, Tammy Beaumont, Darryl Sammy, Mel Jones, Wasim Akram, Lydia Greenway, and Kumar Sangakkara in the Sky Sports broadcast team for the inaugural edition of The Hundred.
Bryan Henderson, head of Sky Sports Cricket, said: “We are so excited to help launch this fantastic new tournament this summer. It’s going to be an incredible standard of cricket played at some of the best grounds in the world and everyone’s invited.
“Hopefully the competition will inspire many girls and boys to pick up a bat and ball. We’ve put together an amazing lineup of presenters and commentators; there’s a completely fresh graphics look and some exciting new broadcast technology. We very much hope you enjoy the coverage.”
