The International Cricket Council is scheduled to meet in Dubai on 30 March and the future of Chief Executive Manu Sawhney will also be discussed on the same day. Sahni is currently on leave. An internal investigation allegedly found that his attitude towards employees was harsh.

A senior board official said, “A quarterly meeting is to be held later this week. Before that, the umpires’ call will also be talked about. Chief executives are also to meet. ‘

After some disputed decisions from the umpire’s call, Kohli said that it was unclear that Leg Before Wicket ( LBW’s ) decisions should be taken only based on whether the ball is going to the stumps or not.

A source said, ‘The ICC Cricket Committee takes decisions only with the consent of all the parties. The recommendation of the cricket committee was sent to all the boards for consent and the BCCI also agreed.’

There is also speculation about the tense relationship between Anil Kumble and Kohli, the former head coach of the Indian team. The committee headed by Kumble had made changes in the points system of the World Test Championship, which had left both Indian coach Ravi Shastri and Kohli exasperated. India, however, made it to the finals by performing well.
