The first day of the BGMI International Cup (BMIC) 2025 kicked off in Delhi on October 31, marking a strong beginning for the global Esports showdown. South Korean powerhouse DRX dominated the opening day, taking the top spot on the leaderboard with an impressive 74 points, including 44 eliminations and two Chicken Dinners.

India’s Nebula Esports followed closely behind in second place with 51 points and one Chicken Dinner, while Team Soul started their campaign strong, securing third place with 46 points and 30 eliminations. Their performance showed consistency and solid teamwork right from the start.

True Rippers, led by Jelly, stood firm in fourth position with 42 points, while South Korea’s NS RedForce rounded out the top five with 39 points.

A Global Battle for Glory

BMIC 2025 features 16 top teams eight from India, four from Japan, and four from South Korea. The tournament offers a ₹1 crore prize pool, with the top two teams earning direct qualification to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2025.

Comebacks and Setbacks

Dplus KIA had a slow start in the early matches but made a solid comeback later in the day, climbing to seventh place with 38 points. Mysterious4, despite a Chicken Dinner in the first match, couldn’t maintain momentum and finished with 33 points.

From Japan, REIGNITE showed promise early but ended the day tied for eighth with 33 points. Madkings and Gods Reign stood in ninth and tenth positions with 31 and 30 points respectively.

K9 Esports, led by Omega, had a quiet opening day, managing only 27 points. REJECT and Orangutan also struggled to find rhythm, finishing in the lower half of the table. Despite recently winning the BGMI Showdown (BMSD), Orangutan couldn’t replicate that success here.

At the bottom, Making the Road (MTR) and CAG Osaka from Japan wrapped up the day with 23 and 21 points. However, with 12 matches still left in the tournament, every team has a fair chance to turn things around.
