Well, at the 2021 US Open – the Women’s Singles Semi-finals encounter that we witnessed showed the teenagers making it tough for well-experienced players. With this announcing to the world their dominating entrance to women’s singles circuit in Tennis. As Emma Raducanu, 18, won against 26-year-old Maria Sakkari in the semi-final.

Emma Raducanu wins in straight sets 6-1, 6-4 against Greece’s Maria Sakkari at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. The match lasted for about 1 Hour, 23 Minutes as the teenager dominated.

However, Emma has still not dropped a set in the tournament winning all her matches in two sets.

For Maria Sakkari, this was her 7th US Open campaign, her best by reaching the semi-finals. Earlier this year, Sakkari played in the semi-final of the Roland-Garros in June.

Meanwhile, the British teenager, Emma Raducanu with this win earned some achievements:

Emma Raducanu became the 1st qualifier to reach a Grand Slam final.

She is the 1st British woman to reach major singles final in 44 years. Last done by Virginia Wade at Wimbledon in 1977.

Also, the youngest British Grand Slam finalist in 62 years.

And the 1st British woman to reach a US Open final in 53 years.

Hence, the 18-year-old Emma Raducanu will next face Canada’s Leylah Fernandez, 19, in the Women’s Singles Final on 12th September, Sunday. However, the all-teen final will be the first since the 1999 US Open Final between Serena Williams and Martina Hingis.
